French Twist Hair Tutorial

I don't know about you but when my hair is in a ponytail I cant help feeling I look like a 12 year old but when i'm sewing and making things it's so nice to have my hair up out of the way of my face.

This tutorial will show you an alternative to the regular pony tail and how to do a more grown up elegant, classy looking hair style... the french twist.
Mine was done quickly and is by no means prefect or neat but practice is KEY with this one, if I can do it then you can too.

Top tip: Spray your hair lightly with water before you begin so your hair is more manageable.

Firstly you will need tea and nourishment!

Step one gather your hair into a low ponytail at the back of your head then start twisting the ponytail while it's still in the low position.
As you continue to twist the ponytail hair start twisting it upwards along your head as the photo shows below.

Next step is to fold over the pony tail and tuck the ends under into the twist you have just created.

....To this

Now start pinning the hair from the bottom of the twist to the top. This is another tutorial that requires a gazillion kirby grips/bobby pins so make sure you get them ready beforehand.
Put your pin in at a 90 degree angle to your head, then fold the pin over, through the hair along your scalp and secure it back into the french twist.

Finally lightly comb and hairspray any stray pieces of hair, as i said above practice is key with this and everyone's hair is different so once you have this sussed you can then play around with adapting it to suit your hair best.

Hope this tutorial was helpful, why not give it a try?
