Lilly Belle Bow Rings

So you might have guessed I am a bit of a magpie for anything sparkly or girly.

My bow rings always seem to get a lot of interest from my customers, my previous bow rings were more lace orientated and I have now had great fun playing around with more vintage/shabby chic looking bows.

Isn't it funny how leopard print used to have a bit of a Bet Lynch/Kat Slater connotation to it but these days it is really popular!
Here's the result and what is your take on leopard print bet lynch or animal print chic?

Rings are all just £4.99 each click here to be taken to them on my shop.

It's finally here the Oscar dresses

Eeeeek I have been eagerly awaiting the exposure of A list Oscar attending celebs in their daaaaaahling well look at you dresses!
Here's where you too can drool or detest this years wide selection of show stopping numbers.
Click here to see the dresses for yourself

Nudes, white and gold seemed to be the colours of the evening and hogging the spotlight this year my favourite contenders were....

Top of the list without a doubt one of my fav fashionistas, Louise Roe. This gown with matching blazer is breathlessly beautiful, feminine and chic!

Others that got it right ...

Those that chose a more interesting gown....

2012 Fashion Trends

Last year it was hard to ignore the main trend was BOLD! From colour block, wearing bright and bold coloured outfits or items with a colour block in the design. Patterend shorts and leggings were also huge last year and there was also influence from stripes.

As I previously mentioned on my blog, this year has turned 360 on it's booty and we are already seeing a strong pastel colours influence in spring 2012's fashion trending.

Romantic silhouettes will also be very popular this season using different textured fabrics, rouching and beading.
Floral and animal prints have always been around on the catwalk but this year we are definitely seeing a lot more tribal prints coming in to play. I will definitely be embracing this trend this year.
Remember tribal prints don't always have to be dull colours like brown, khaki, black etc. Here is me when we went to Marrakech last year in my fav tribal print dress that has a modern spin on it mixing hot pink with black and white.
It has beautiful hot pink wooden beads along the neckline which add to the tribal look. This was bought last year from my fav shop TK MAXX.

Leather is another trend that is going to be used in the summer this year, not too sure how practical this is. From what i've seen so far it's taking the form of leather shorts, baggy loose flared leather trousers and leather waistcoats/blazers... jury is still out on this one.
The autumn will focus on jewel tones such as red, purple and teal colours.
Ivory and gold are also key colours to look out for this year, happy trending!

Call the fashion police!

What the..... can someone clear something up for me here because I am struggggling to see who could ever 1 like this dress, 2 think it is ok to be seen out in public in it .... let alone be seen out in it on the red carpet?! Makes me wonder do people just wear something because it's been labeled fashionable or have I lost the plot and is this actually a really nice dress?

Here's the offending article.. Flash or clash?

Valentines Feature Day 6 - Date Outfits

For todays 12 days of valentines I have put together some date outfits for all you girlies that might have hot dates planned for the occasion.

First up is an outfit for the day time might be a lunch date, cinema, theme park etc. I love feminine style like this it's stylish but cute at the same time.
Black and white outfits mean you can team it up with accessories for this instance I would probably opt for a pink eyeshadow and pink lips to subtly match the pink bow on the necklace and add a hint of girly colour.

Shoes, H&M - £34.99
Cream, Lace Skater Dress By Rare, Topshop - £46
Moda Button Cardigan, Asda - £12
White Irridesent Heart Ring, Lilly Belle Accessories - £4.99
Pink Bow Gold Mirror Necklace, Lilly Belle Accessories - £7.99

Next outfit is for an evening date, setting the scene here.... meal in a restaurant, going for a drink in a bar, clubbing etc.
I went for red for the evening outfit, red naturally being the colour of love and all things passion.

I chose two outfits the top one is more of a sultry dress that shows off the figure "hello boobs"! The second outfit below is the same idea bold red dress that is lovely on the figure but a bit more of a cuter look.

Victoria Beckham - Harvey Nics

Victoria Beckham has just launched her new fashion line at Harvey Nichols called wait for it.... "Victoria" hmmm. I wonder how long it took them to think of the name probably all of one minute.
Don't get me wrong I really like Victoria Beckham but I can't help feeling disheartened at this line. Especially as she is known for being a stylish fashionista i expected this to be apparent in her own designs.

Here are the dresses....

The idea behind this line was to create some simple shift dresses that are a bit more fun.
Unfortunately, the dresses don't really appeal to me, the colour (or lack of) seems a bit unimaginative and the styles don't even look very flattering on the mannequins. For £395 I would be expecting alot more that's for sure!
I have just scoured her full range of dresses and that's 5 minutes of my life i'll never get back. I wanted to find one dress that I liked, just one!

Most of them are very plain and the ones with a bit more design to them look like pyjamas.

Spring Colour Trend, Candy Pop Pastel Colours

Colour trends for this spring are gorgeously soft and girly which is great because who doesn't suit a pastel colour?

Moving away from the abstract colour block trend to the opposite side of the spectrum subtle muted colours are great because you can match make up and accessories accordingly.

It looks as though the strong contender to dress up the mannequins of high street shops around the UK this spring will be pastel tweeds. That's right time to raid your granny's wardrobe because granny is back in town!

All that glitters is Louboutin!

Christian Loboutin's ultimate glitz, glitter and sparkle shoes are appearing everywhere lately from topshop's version to the real deal everyone seems to be jumping on this trend.

In this picture the sparkles look like rain drops that have settled :)

You may find Louboutin's Jazzys a bit on the street walker side depending on your personal taste and in that case I came across these alternatives by Jimmy Choo which are similar but a little more understated and subtle.

The ultimate designer cinderella shoe don't you think?

Primark Bargains - Arrest me now because this must be a steal!

I've always been known as a bit of a bargain hunter when it comes to me and my clothes and let me tell you now... no wardrobe is ever big enough! Is it girls?
It started when I was younger I used to love going to Seconds Ahead because they always had designer clothes in there really cheap. My bargain hunting career then took a promotion when it found TKmaxx wow oh wow! I love TK it is my fav shop ever i love prowling the rails finding little gems... t-shirts for £3 skirts for £5 love love love!   <3 <3 <3

So in true bargain queen style had to share my latest primark bargains with you as I think you'll be pretty impressed I spent a whopping two WHOLE pounds on two items of clothing a lovely floral ra ra style skirt £1 and also a pink strappy vest dress thingy-ma-bob which was also £1, lubbly jubbly.

Get down to your local primark and check out the bargain rails they might still be in your local store.
I'm loving nude colours and chiffon at the moment very feminine.
